The Lobby Lounge is a music listening room created to bring nationally touring artists to the Harbor Center for our community to enjoy.  Once a month, the lobby of the Harbor Center is transformed into an intimate venue with a unique bohemian vibe.

The Fremaux Town Center is one exit away from our facility. With 640,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, it is a top shopping destination. The Historic District of Slidell is also nearby with beautiful restaurants and cozy boutiques.

Unique Culture

Slidell was chartered as a town in 1888 by the Louisiana legislature. The Salmen Brick Company was one of the largest producers of bricks in the South. Fast foward to today, Slidell has grown to include a vibrant Olde Towne with a fun, casual night-life to a sportsmen’s paradise. Experience Slidell by checking out our family-friendly Mardi Gras parades, Slidell Heritage Festival celebrating the 4th of July, Crawfish Cook-Off festival as well as the Slidell Cultural Center’s exhibitions.

Outdoor Features

Slidell is on the Tammany Trace which is a bicyclist destination for beautiful scenery and it hosts the Louisiana Bicycle Festival annually. The Annual Great Bird Fest is one of the best in the country for bird enthusiasts and there is water all around for the fisherman at your event.

Food and Entertainment

Seafood is a major focus at many of the local casual and fine-dining restaurants. Here you can find dishes created by the best New Orleans chefs. In addition, this area is the home of Jazz and many clubs have live music with well-known musicians of all genres.

The Harbor Center is only a six-mile bridge away from New Orleans. . Whether you are looking for nightlife, world-renown food, music, or gaming, our staff can help coordinate a spectacular night on the town. A two or three-day event can offer the best of Slidell one evening and the best of New Orleans for another. Meeting on the Northshore and playing in New Orleans is the best of all worlds at half the price.

Or visit the Mississippi Gulf Coast (only 30 minutes). This area has always been a great playground for visitors who like a variety of leisure activities and entertainment venues. The area has 62 miles of shoreline which gives access to the Gulf Islands National Seashore, water sports, and golf courses with great vistas. Relaxing spas, brag-worthy boutiques, and beautiful pools are also part of the experience. The area has 12 casinos and wonderful restaurants with a variety of cuisines. Our Center can help coordinate arrangements if your group wants to have a gulf coast experience as part of your event.
