Joe has been married to Pamella Byrd Anderson since 1974 and is the father of two sons, Joseph and James. This is a big year for the Andersons as son Joseph graduates from Vanderbilt University and James graduates from Slidell High. Joe has practiced law in Slidell since 1977 and was a special prosecutor for St. Tammany Parish’s District Attorney’s office from 1981 to 1984. He is a past president of the Slidell Bar Association and St. Tammany Bar Association and is a member of numerous professional, social and civic organizations. Today, Joe is managing partner of Anderson and Anderson.
He was chairman of the East St. Tammany Events Center Commission from 1991-2004. The idea of the Northshore Harbor Center was created at a Slidell Chamber of Commerce Board Retreat and Joe was present during that weekend. He is proud to have been with this project since it was just a brainstorm conception and stayed to see it thorough the building’s successful opening.
