The Harbor Center District Board of Commissioners governs The Harbor Center and is composed of 14 board members. Each commit to a four-year term, serving no more than three consecutive terms, and all adhere to the State of Louisiana Code of Ethics. Board members are appointed by the following appointing authorities:

  • One appointed by the Mayor of Slidell.
  • Three members appointed by the City Council, one of which is recommended by the Northshore Lodging Association and is the owner or operator of a hotel, motel, or a campground located in Ward Eight or Ward Nine of St. Tammany Parish.
  • One member appointed by the Board of Aldermen of the town of Pearl River.
  • One member appointed by the St. Tammany Parish Council who is a resident of Ward Eight.
  • One member appointed by the St. Tammany Parish Council who is a resident of Ward Nine.
  • One member appointed by the St. Tammany Parish Chamber of Commerce.
  • One member appointed by the State Representative for District 90.
  • One member appointed by the State Representative for District 76.
  • One member appointed by the State Representative for District 74.
  • One member appointed by the East St. Tammany Business Alliance.
  • One member who is the Executive Director of the St. Tammany Parish Tourist Commission.
  • One member appointed by the State Senator for District 1, provided that such Senator’s district comprises portions of Ward Eight or Ward Nine.

Executive Board positions are Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Treasurer.
