undreds of years of military service were saluted during the fifth annual Red, White and Blue Masquerade held Friday (May 11) at the Northshore Harbor Center near Slidell. The evening of dining and dancing enjoyed by nearly 250 guests was highlighted by the recognition of a dozen military heroes, whose long lists of service and sacrifice repeatedly brought the crowd to its feet.

100 motorcycles, police units will lead Slidell officer’s funeral procession

The Slidell Police Department will lead a funeral procession through the city as it honors a fallen member of its ranks. Officer Jason Seals will be laid to rest Wednesday (Nov. 21), with more than 100 motorcycles and 100 police units taking part in an hour-long drive from the funeral service at Northshore Harbor Center to Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Real Men of St. Tammany buoy Safe Harbor

The announcement was the highlight of the eighth annual Real Men Gala held Sept. 22 at the Northshore Harbor Center near Slidell to benefit Safe Harbor.
